Advertisements

HTC has started rolling out Android 4.2.2 update for the dual-SIM version of HTC One in Russia and China, the only two countries where it is being sold right now. The update is being released over the air (OTA) and should reach all devices over the course of next few days.

The single SIM version of HTC One is also reportedly going to receive the Android 4.2.2 update sometime later today but we are yet to see any reports of the roll-out.

Coming back to the update for dual-SIM version, as per the update notification, it brings launcher bar enhancements, widget panel rearrangement, lock-screen widgets, ability to add home-button options, and battery level indicator in status bar.

In addition, the update brings quick settings panel in notification shade, gallery and camera app improvements, six more themes for video highlights, new Zoe file format, Chinese dictionary update, and performance enhancements to the smartphone.

If you own a dual-SIM HTC One unit, do let us know about the update experience in comments.
