HTC One Android 4.2.2 update coming to more Asian countries this week

HTC has revealed to CNET Asia that it plans to release the Android 4.2.2 update for its flagship HTC One in more Asian countries this week. The update is already underway in Taiwan for international variant and in China for the dual-SIM version.

HTC also released the update in several European countries late last week. Over 410MB in size, the update brings a host of new features of this smartphone along with usual Android 4.2 goodness like Daydream, lock-screen widgets and performance improvements.

The update is expected to remain largely the same as the European version, which means you can expect to see the following changes in your HTC One when the Android 4.2.2 update hits this week.

  • Lock-screen widgets
  • Home button options
  • New quick settings panel in notification shade
  • Battery level in status bar
  • Gallery app improvements
  • AE/AF enhancements in the camera
  • New Zoe file format

I have a htc one bought in India and I am currently in Europe.. so how does it work? Do i get an update when the update for europe is released or is it when the update for India is released? confused!
