Opera claims that Opera Mini is suited for Indian conditions as it provides data compression.
“The number of Indians accessing the web from mobile devices is growing at a much faster rate than those using a computer. This unique environment has made it essential for handset manufacturers to ensure their upcoming mobile devices are web enabled and are ready to deliver the best browsing experience,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software.
To remind you, Opera Mini comes with features like Smart Page, Speed Dial, tabbed browsing, password manager, download manager and Opera Link.
There is no word on when the deal will come in effect, but we can expect to see Opera Mini pre-loaded on future Android devices by the aforementioned manufacturers.
