Android user verdict on Facebook Home: 43 pc think it is worth 1 star

Advertisements

It has been almost 24 hours since Facebook released Facebook Home in Google Play and the app has already been downloaded anywhere between 50,000 and 1,00,000 times. That is a decent figure to get an idea of how users are feeling about this much-hyped Android launcher from Facebook.

Well, the initial feedback is not very encouraging. As per the user reviews on Google Play, over 43 per cent of the reviewers have awarded the app just one star. 19 per cent of the users do think that the app is good and worth giving five stars, but such users are just one in five.

Being the first version, we can expect some hiccups here and there or the lack of some features, but still that is a poor response.  As only the users who have installed the app can leave feedback on Google Play, these are some legitimate responses.

The downsides noted by the users include lack of widgets, lack for quick access to key phones features like PHONE app and other simply did not like the UI or got bored of it.

Have you installed the app till now, from Google Play or the APKs that are floating around? Do let us know your views in the comments.

Downloaded the patched apk for the app for my Spice Mi 425 ..works ok most of the time..but lags quite a bit when you try to unlock the phone..and more over the chat heads dont work at all..im guessing that must be a problem with the phone the app being slow and all..and features not working must be because of compatability issues..but one thing is for sure..it does take out the touch from android..all you get is just facebook facebook and facebook! …facebook says they are trying to put people ahead of apps..but what they are doing is putting the phone in the background altogether..its just an overdose of facebook !
