Sony Xperia Z India launch on March 6

Sony Mobile has revealed via a teaser of its official Facebook Page that it is going to launch its flagship smartphone Xperia Z on March 6 in India. The launch date fit perfectly with the timeline earlier given by the company.

Sony Xperia Z was originally introduced at CES 2013 and comes with features like 5-inch full HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and 2GB RAM. The phone also packs 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, NFC, 13MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and Android 4.1. The smartphone has been loaded with a 2330 mah battery and the usual set of connectivity options.

There is no word on the pricing, but rumours circulating online suggest that the phone will get a pricing similar to HTC Butterfly, which retails for INR 45,500.

Sony Xperia Z is sold in Black, White and Purple colours globally and company is likely to introduce all colour models in the country.
