Huawei Ascend P2 press shot leaked, to be launched on Feb 24

We have been hearing about the upcoming successor to Huawei’s Ascend P1 smartphone for quite some time. Now, the first press shot of the Ascend P2 has appeared online and it gives us the first good look at this wafer-thin smartphone.

The Unwired View, which has published this product shot via evleaks, also notes that the display on the Ascend P2 is just 4.5-inch, contradicting previous rumours of a 5-inch display. This would make the full HD display on the phone to be a hefty 490PPI.

Other specs are expected to include a 13MP rear camera (which has been confirmed via the product shot), 2GB RAM, quad-core processor, 6.45 mm thin body, and 3,000 mAh battery. The Ascend P2 runs on Jelly Bean and will most likely be announced on February 24.

Huawei has already sent out invites for a press event on Feb 24 at MWC, where it is going to announce its new smartphone line-up and being a flagship P2 will most certainly be there.
