HTC Desire U packs a single core 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4-inch WVGA display, and 4GB of internal storage. It also comes with a 5MP camera on the back and 1650 mAh removable battery. From these specs, the Desire U seems like a continuation of Desire C smartphone.
Chughwa Telecom has revealed that it is targeting mainly students and first-time smartphone buyers with Desire U.
In related news, HTC will be releasing its flagship Android smartphone M7 in the next few weeks at a press event in London. The phone will feature 4.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core CPU and Jelly Bean.
