First launched in Taiwan in January this year, Desire U comes with a single core 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4-inch WVGA display, and 4GB of internal storage. It also comes with a dual-SIM support, 5MP camera on the back and 1650 mAh removable battery.
The specifications are hardly exciting and under-INR 11,000 pricing would have been more apt. Also, the lack of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is a downside.
The phone will be available in both Black and Polar White colour variants in the country.
As there has been no official announcement from HTC India so far, we are hoping to see a press note or something confirming the release of the smartphone in the next few days.
Thanks Ishan
