Acer Iconia Tab A220 leaked in benchmarks; packs Tegra 3, Jelly Bean, HD display

Looks like Acer’s Iconia Tab A110 is getting ready for a successor. A new Acer tablet Iconia Tab A220 was spotted on benchmarking website GLBenchmarks sporting 1.3 GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor and a 1280x768p display (listing shows 752p, rest of the pixels are for virtual Android buttons, which are not accounted in benchmarks).

From the looks of it, the tablet seems to be sporting a 7-inch display, but there is no way to confirm it. The Android version on-board is Jelly Bean Android 4.1.2.

Other details are still scarce but it seems Acer is planning to take on Nexus 7 with another tablet, after A110 failed to match it. A220 might also be based on NVIDIA’s KAI platform, which allows manufacturers to build cheap tablets based on Tegra 3.

We are hoping to see more details in the days to come.
