Huawei showcases 5-inch Ascend D2 with Android 4.1, quad-core processor

In addition to the successor to Huawei Honor, the Chinese telecommunication firm Huawei had also showcased another quad-core Android smartphone in China on Tuesday.

Dubbed as Huawei Ascend D2, this smartphone will come with a 5-inch display and aims to compete with Samsung’s Note II. The phone features 1.5GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.1, 13MP rear camera and 1.3MP front camera.

There is 3,000 mAh battery inside and the smartphone will be released in the markets starting earlier-2013.

There are no other details available about the smartphone right now.
