Now, the question arises whether Apple will be able to simply come and conquer the 7-inch tablet market too. Apple’s iPad mini might seem all new, but the internals of the tablet are same the two generation old iPad – iPad 2, however it also has the backing of a plethora of tablet optimised apps, which Android is still trying to build. But then phone optimised apps stretch fine on a 7-inch display.
It is going to be a very subjective call to choose from these tablets, your platform affinity, pricing (which is still a lot in the case of iPad mini), ecosystem, and specs.

I can’t wait to see how Apple’s entry into the 7? market shakes things up for Google and the other OEMs.
But the point is that there is no decent tab available in india apart from samsung tab 2 310. cant say whether nexus tab will be launched by google. amazon and B&N are not available in india through usual and official channels. diwali is coming and apple will launch ipad mini on november 2. again indian public will buy as everyone associated apple brand with wealth and status.
