Verizon has started pricing the high-end devices at $299.99 with contract recently and HTC Rezound, Droid RAZR were the first of the lot. Telecom operator thinks that users will pay the premium for its excellent network and LTE connectivity. It recently completed one year of LTE.
In other news, 9to5Google is reporting that Verizon might block the Google Wallet app on Galaxy Nexus, although the smartphone will come with NFC chip, but app will not be visible in Android Market. The reason being cited for this is the creation of a separate mobile payment project ISIS by Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile along with others.
It this stands true, Galaxy Nexus versions of AT&T and T-Mobile might also give a miss to Google Wallet.
We are hoping to hear more directly from Verizon at the launch event, but no official dates have been revealed yet.
