Asustek expects to sell over 1.8 million Android tablets by the end of this year. Company has already shipped 1.2 million tablet units at the end of third quarter and is hoping that holiday demand will add 600,000 more units to that number.

In addition to the holiday boost, company will also be introducing its second generation of Eee Pad Transformer tablet as Transformer Prime on November 9. Prime will be the first quad core tablet and is likely to drive consumer interest giving the company more sales numbers.

While, there was speculation about Prime being launched as the first Ice Cream Sandwich tablet, new reports point a different picture and we might see Prime launching with Honeycomb on-board. If everything goes according to the plan and Google release Android 4.0 source code, Asus is likely to start pushing ICS update for its tablet in the start of December.

This is not all; company will be unveiling two more tablets in February 2012 at Mobile World Congress, including already announced PadFone and a seven inch tablet.
