More than six million Android tablets sold – Andy Rubin

Google Mobile SVP Andy Rubin today revealed at the AsiaD conference that there are more than six million Android tablet users worldwide. He added that this is only the number of tablets that come with Google services and Android Market and there are several others which Google doesn’t count.

Rubin also gave some pretty interesting figures like that there is over 1 million lines of code in Ice Cream Sandwich and over 500 Android devices are selling across the world.

In terms of upcoming improvement/features, Rubin stated that they are working to make Android Market more user-friendly and to make app discovery easy. Market improvements are en-route, but he did not give a specific timeline.
