T-Mobile announces HTC Amaze 4G, available from Oct 12

HTC Amaze 4G is finally official. T-Mobile today that Amaze 4G will the first smartphone to support telco’s HSPA+ network supporting practical download speeds up to 20Mbps.  According to T-Mobile, Amaze 4G will go on sale starting October 12 with online presales starting two days earlier for $259.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year contract.

HTC Amaze 4G is being promoted as the best camera smartphone T-Mobile has ever had, It is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera and 1080p HD video recorder, a backside illuminated sensor for improved low light performance, zero shutter lag and a dual LED flash, as well as a slew of advanced digital camera features.

Other features of the smartphone include Android 2.3.4, 1.5 GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 Processor, HTC Sense, 4.3-inch qHD super LCD multi-touch display, NFC hardware, and front camera.
