HTC partners with Beat by Dr. Dre for better mobile audio

HTC smartphones will soon have better mobile audio experience thanks to its partnership and investment in Beats By Dr. Dre. Beats is a brand of headphones and loudspeakers created by hip-hop/rap musician Dr. Dre and Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records chairman Jimmy Iovine.

“The HTC and Beats by Dr. Dre partnership is an opportunity for two world-class companies to redefine the smart phone industry and define the future,” said Jimmy Iovine.

The first HTC devices with Beats sound innovations will be available starting this fall and it will have exclusive rights among mobile phone companies to Beats’ products.

HTC has made an investment of USD 300 million in Beats for a majority stake.
