Acer Iconia Smart India launch in August after two months delay

Acer India has been a little silent in terms of smartphone launches in the recent months, but that silence is soon going to be over. Acer India is finally planning to launch Iconia Smart tablophone next month in the country.  It was supposed to be available in the month of June but got delayed for unknown reasons.

This Dell Streak like smartphone comes with a large 4.8 inch display with 480 x 1024 pixels resolution and 21:9 aspect ratio. Other features of the smartphone include a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, 8GB Internal Memory, 8MP primary camera with LED flash and two MP front facing camera.

Iconia Smart phone might be an odd looking device with a big display, but it will be very handy for internet browsing on the go and also because of the less width of the phone –there should not be any problem while holding it.

Anyways, we are waiting for August second week to come and hope that it launches without any further delay. There is no word on pricing, but we are expecting it to be in the range of INR 28K.
