Asus sells 400,000 Eee Pad Transformer units, sequel in pipeline

Well, it was expected considering the pricing and specs; Asus has given itself a hit Android tablet. Eee Pad Transformer might not have sold millions of units till now, but it has sold a significant number. According to Digitimes, more than 400,000 units of Eee Pad Transformer were shipped till now since its launch on March 25 in Taiwan followed by UK on April 4.

It is only available in select markets right now, which include Australia, US, UK, Taiwan, France, Canada and Sweden. Availability in other countries will surely boost the numbers.

On the other side, Asus is already busy working on the sequel of the hit tablet with Tegra 3 inside; it will be launched as early as October with Ice Cream Sandwich pre-loaded.
