Asus Eee Pad Transformer Honeycomb tablet out on Friday in Taiwan

Advertisements

Asus has announced that it will launch its Honeycomb powered tablet hybrid in Taiwan this Friday. Eee Pad Transformer is an Android tablet that has a dock that turns it into a netbook with a keyboard.

There is no confirmation on the pricing as of now, but some rumors suggest an USD 795 price, which is quite steep and we expect that the docking will be included in the price.

Other another front, Engadget is reporting that Asus could launch the tablet in US next month. To remind you, Eee Pad Transformer features a 10.1-inch screen, Android 3.0, nVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, and 1GB of DDR2 RAM. The tablet also has 16GB and 32GB storage versions.

I really like this form factor for an Android Honeycomb tablet. I just wish Asus would have taken a cue from the Toshiba Honeycomb tablet and integrated more standard ports into the actual tablet though.
