Advertisements

It seems believable. Considering the hack-prone nature of Nook Color, this so called color e-reader has long been pet device of Android developers. This has led to huge sales of the e-reader, and now a report in Digitimes claims that the production partner of B&N has shipped over 3 mn Nook Color devices to the company till now.

Apart from the small inventory in stores these days, we expect rest have resulted in sales. The Digitimes report further claims that sales of the Nook Color topped one million units in the North America in the fourth quarter of 2010 and reached 600,000-700,000 units a month during the January-February period of 2011.

The recent decision of B&N to update Nook Color to FroYo and bring more apps to the device will certainly brings in more tab lovers in their den. Nook Color is officially sold for USD249.
