Barnes & Noble to launch Nook Color 2 this month?

Original Nook Color

Barnes & Noble is trying to launch their second iteration of Nook Color this month to get a significant advantage over Amazon Kindle tab when it arrives in late November. B&N had a pretty successful stint with its first Nook Color, it became devs’ and users’ pet because of its hack-ability and $250 price tag.

According to Digitimes, Nook Color 2 will feature a 7-inch full color touch-screen and is scheduled for release in September. This news is coming from Taiwanese component suppliers for Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color 2.

It would certainly be interesting to see how Barnes & Noble upgrades from the existing Nook Color and puts out a product that is a worthy competitor to upcoming Amazon Kindle Tablet.
