Advertisements

Motorola today announced that it will be launching Honeycomb powered Xoom in South African market this April. There is no word on local price as of now, but we expect to hear more soon.

A Motorola spokesman says the company is aiming to launch the Xoom in SA in either the second or third week in April. The device should be available on contract from all mobile operators.

Motorola Xoom features nVidia Tegra 2 Processor, 1GB DDR2 RAM and 32GB on-board storage. Other specs include a 5 megapixel (MP) rear-facing camera capable of recording 720p video, a 2MP forward-facing camera, and HDMI output.

XOOm bought ex VastSA. Delivered direct to here in Johannesburg ex Amazon US. Contained a Motorola mini usb phone charger which was incorrect. Tried to get the correct charger via VastSA – but no help at all. Bought and installed apps then lost them with a reboot. Now battery has run down. Bought a dock and tried to charge ex 220VAC outlet (charger says 110-240VAXC!!) but it does not charge and charge light not on..
What to do? Unable to find a Motorola service centre here – phones not answered from mobility centre?
What to do??
