LG working on its own smartphone chips

Advertisements

Guess which chip will the next LG flagship Android phone have? Qualcomm? Texas Instruments? Nvidia?

Maybe none! LG is working on developing its own smartphone chips in order to boost up its handset business. This will help the company to save costs and reduce time to market the new gadgets.

The move will make LG the third only mobile maker to design its own chips for its devices, other two being Apple and Samsung.

However, the company refused to get into the intricacies of the proposed chips.
