Motorola eying head-start with Xoom launch in February

Advertisements

Motorola is looking for a month long head-start, when it starts selling its Honeycomb powered tablet Xoom in February. The recent invitation from Google for the honeycomb launch has almost confirmed the availability of Xoom next month.

Since Motorola will be the first manufacturer to launch a tablet with Honeycomb, it will obviously get more time to boost Xoom sales figures. Other manufactures including Samsung, HTC, Acer and LG are expected to start selling their Honeycomb powered tablets in late March.

To help the application developers make their apps tablet ready, Google recently released a preview version of Honeycomb some days back.
