LG Star, the company’s first dual core Android smartphone, will soon be found in the markets of South Korea. Cetizen reports that the phone will be launched through SK Telecom, the exact date of the launch is unclear yet though -which could be by the end of this year or in 2011.

Unlike its counterparts, the Korean version of LG Star will not be Google branded. It will, however, have the same features, that include:

–          4 inch WVGA display

–          3.5 mm headset jack

–          8 MP camera with flash

–          2 touch-sensitive buttons in the front and 1 hardware button

LG Star currently runs on Android 2.2 Froyo. But since Android 2.3 Gingerbread has already been unveiled, the Korean version might be launched with the new OS.
