Android Market’s new web interface round the corner

Advertisements

We have been waiting for this quite a while. Since the announcement at Google I/O, the new and useful web version of Android Market was constantly expected, but until today we had not seen any real proof of the impeding launch.

Thanks to AndroidPolice, now we have the evidence of that new and better Android Market website is coming soon. According to AP, Google has updated the market publishing interface by including three whole new options, that give us a hint that web interface might land with the upcoming Gingerbread launch.

* High Resolution Application Icon – 512w x 512h, 24 bit PNG or JPEG (no alpha). This seems to be a required field now

* Feature Graphic – 1024w x 500h, 24 bit PNG or JPEG (no alpha), will be downsized to mini or micro

* Promotional Video – YouTube URL

The promotional video and application icon will play a huge role in web based Android Market. And the inclusion of Chrome to Phone in web market should be the icing on the cake.
