US Cellular today announced that it will be launching Android powered LG Apex on November 19. The smartphone will retail for $79.99 after an $80 mail-in rebate with a two-year contract.

The LG Apex will come with 3.2” touchscreen display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1, 3 megapixel autofocus camera, and Wi-Fi.

“Phones powered by Android are perfect for customers looking for high-performance devices that help them stay productive, entertained and connected on the go,” said Edward Perez, vice president of marketing and sales operations for U.S. Cellular.

LG Apex will be the fourth Android smartphone to land on US Cellular network, with Samsung Acclaim, HTC Desire, and Samsung Mesmerize.

US Cellular is also planning to launch its version of LG Optimus One – Optimus U in December as the last Android offering for the current year.
