Advertisements HTC is reportedly going to launch the One X+ smartphone in the country before the festival of Diwali. The smartphone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and comes with an improved Sense 4+ on-board.
Advertisements As promised, HTC has started rolling out Android 4.1 update to One X smartphone on Friday. The update is currently live in company’s home country Taiwan and Singapore. Company has also promised to release the update in other Asian countries soon.
Advertisements HTC might not have revealed the pricing or exact release date in its One X+ announcement press release, but UK retailer Clove has already come out with these details. The retailer, which has started taking the pre-orders for the phone, hopes to get the first stock of the smartphone on October 22.
Advertisements Along with the One X+ announcement, HTC has also revealed that it will start rolling out the Android 4.1 update for HTC One X and One S smartphones this month. The update will also bring the new Sense version Sense 4+ to the two smartphones.
Advertisements As earlier rumoured, HTC has made the One X+ smartphone official today. Running on the latest Android version Android 4.1 aka Jelly Bean, the smartphone will be available in Europe and North Asia from October and in South Asia from November 2012.
Advertisements HTC’s upcoming One X variant has been spotted in UK retailer O2’s brochure. Showed “coming soon”, the O2 UK will be pricing it at GBP479.99 (INR 41,100) on its network . The brochure did not reveal the exact availability date of the phone.
Advertisements It seems HTC One X users will not have to wait very long for the Android 4.1 update. According to a report over at Modaco, HTC is planning to release the update next month.
