Lava, once a key player in the Indian phone market, is continuing its attempts at making a comeback. In the same bid, the company has launched a new budget phone called Yuva 3 Pro. It’s apparently a successor to the company’s Yuva 2 Pro, which was unveiled back in February 2023. There is nothing exciting about the new Lava phone, and it’s a typical entry-level device you’ll find in this segment.

Lava Yuva 3 Pro price, availability, and colors

Lava Yuva 3 Pro carries a price tag of Rs. 8,999 for its sole 128GB variant. Starting today (December 14), it will go on sale via the company’s e-store and various brick-and-mortar retailers nationwide. You can buy it in Forest Viridian, Desert Gold, and Meadow Purple colors.

The Yuva 3 Pro is pricier by Rs. 1000 than the Yuva 2 Pro. But it’s not surprising because there are some significant upgrades.

The Yuva 3 Pro has a fairly mainstream design, and it will remind you of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, mainly because of the rear camera setup. You get a 6.5-inch 720p display, the same as the Yuva 2 Pro, but now it supports a 90Hz refresh rate. In other specifications, the phone is powered by a Unisoc T616 octa-core processor and packs Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, and a USB Type-C port. The battery is still 5,000mAh but supports up to 18W fast charging.

The RAM is one of the most significant upgrades, and you get 8GB instead of the meager 4GB on its predecessor. As mentioned earlier, the internal storage is 128GB, and you can also use a microSD card.

Other highlights include Android 13, a side fingerprint sensor, a 50MP primary shooter, an 8MP front camera, and a secondary rear shooter. There is no word on its resolution or other details. The company is simply calling it an AI camera, whatever that means.

Unfortunately, there is no 5G support, and the phone tops out at 4G connectivity.
