Xiaomi and its spin-off brand Poco are getting ready to launch a new phone each over the coming weeks in India. While Xiaomi will bring Redmi 9 Power, Poco will launch the Poco M3. The India variants of both phones have surfaced on Google Play supported devices list. What’s interesting here that both Redmi 9 Power and Poco M3 will be pretty much the same phones, barring odd changes and design tweaks.
Redmi 9 Power is being called a rebranded version of Redmi Note 9 4G model that was introduced in China recently. However, if you compare the specifications of Redmi Note 9 4G, it is pretty much identical as Poco M3. Given M3 was introduced to the public before Redmi Note 9 4G, I am taking that as the primary phone. So, like in the past, once again a Poco phone is going to be almost the same as a Redmi phone.

There is no word on when exactly both of these phones will make their India debut, but I don’t think we will have to wait for too long. In the meantime, here are the specifications of the Poco M3 and you can expect pretty much the same specifications in Redmi 9 Power as well, barring design and memory changes.
Poco M3 specifications
Poco M3 runs on MIUI 12 for Poco, based on Android 10, and features a 6.53-inch full-HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 SoC, paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 610 GPU. The Poco M3 also comes with up to 128GB of onboard storage, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, FM Radio, dual speakers, GPS, and 3.5mm audio jack.
Additionally, there is a triple rear camera setup on the phone that houses a 48-megapixel main shooter with f/1.79 aperture, a 2-megapixel macro camera with f/2.4 aperture, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies, the brand has added an 8-megapixel camera on the front. Further, you get a big 6,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support and side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
