Samsung Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s are the latest budget smartphones to join the South Korean tech giant’s portfolio. The company will initially be releasing the two phones in Europe, followed by other markets. There is no word on India release date right now but typically Samsung brings most Galaxy A-series phones to the country, so these should also make their way to the Indian shores. The Galaxy A12 and Galaxy A02s share a couple of specifications but otherwise the two phones are relatively different.
Samsung Galaxy A12, Galaxy A02s price, availability details
The Galaxy A12 will carry a starting price tag of EUR 179 (roughly Rs. 15,800). Samsung Galaxy A02s, on the other hand, will retail starting at EUR 150 (roughly Rs. 13,200). Samsung says Galaxy A12 will first go on sale beginning January 2021, Galaxy A02s will follow a month later.

Samsung Galaxy A12 specifications
The Galaxy A12 features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop-style notch. It is powered by octa-core MediaTek MT6765 Helio P35 SoC, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage. There is a microSD card slot included as well for storage expansion. For the imaging needs, Samsung has packed a quad rear camera setup on the Galaxy A12, headlined by a 48-megapixel shooter. Additionally, there is a 5-megapixel ultra-wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter.
The phone also houses an 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Other specifications of the Galaxy A12 include a 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and 4G LTE support. The new Samsung phone weighs 205 grams and it will be offered in Black, Blue, Red, and White colours.

Samsung Galaxy A02s specifications
Like the Samsung Galaxy A12, Galaxy A02s also sports a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a waterdrop-style notch. It is, however, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage with microSD card support. Further, the phone packs 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
Additionally, the phone houses a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro shooter, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there is a 5-megapixel camera in Galaxy A02s. It will be sold in Black and White colours.
