Almost three months after it was supposed to be available in India, Samsung’s Galaxy Core Prime 4G smartphone has beginning to reach physical retailers in the country. According to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom, the phone is now available at INR 9,999. The phone is still not listed on any e-commerce websites, but we expect expanded availability over the next few days.

Samsung Galaxy Core Prime 4G is an entry-level smartphone and comes with specifications like 4.5-inch WVGA PLS display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor (most likely Snapdragon 410), 1GB of RAM and Android 4.4 with TouchWiz UI.

In addition, the smartphone packs 5MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front shooter, 2000 mAh battery, dual-SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

Given these specifications and price-tag, Samsung will have a hard-time competing with smartphones like Lenovo A6000 Plus, Yu Yuphoria, Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto E 4G (2015) and more. What are your thoughts, let us know in comments.

5MP camera will decide its fate. Like Grand Prime Touchwiz will be trimmed (I guess). So performance won’t be a matter
