Samsung seems to be planning to introduce a rugged “Active” variant of the Galaxy S6 smartphone in the coming weeks. A pair of alleged press renders of this Active version have been leaked online, giving us a clear look at the smartphone.
Not much is known about the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active right now, but in a recent report from GSM Arena noted that the phone will carry model number SM-G890 and come with 3500 mAh battery. Although other specifications of the phone are uncertain at this point, they are expected to be in line with the regular Galaxy S6.
The launch and pricing details remain a mystery but the US telecom operator AT&T logo on the back of Galaxy S6 Active in the leaked renders indicate that at least AT&T will be carrying the phone. Also, the phone home-screens in the renders carry the date ‘June 5,’ suggesting that we might see an official announcement on the day.
To remind you, traditionally Active line-up of Samsung smartphones come with water/ dust resistance as well as enhanced durability to withstand harsh environments. These are targeted to the individuals, who don’t want their phones to be dainty.
