As per the original Google I/O 2015 schedule, the search giant will be talking about Android M, the next major Android version, at the event. Although we are not sure which new features will be a part of this upcoming Android version, but it is likely that the company will offer a quick preview of the updated OS, like it did with Android Lollipop at last year’s I/O conference.
In addition to Android M, the company will also be announcing two key features – Voice Access and proximity-based communication. While the proximity-based communication has been previously leaked as “Nearby,” Voice Access seems like an extension of Google’s recent support for custom voice-actions. According to Google’s schedule, Voice Access is a service that gives anyone access to their Android device though voice-alone. The specifics of Nearby are a mystery, but Google does mention that it will have something to do with how Android devices interact with other devices in the proximity.
