Unannounced Zenfone 2 variant with 128GB storage appears at Flipkart, priced at INR 29,999

If 32GB or 64GB of internal storage wasn’t enough for you in the Zenfone 2, looks like Asus is planning to bring a 128GB variant as well. E-retailer Flipkart has quietly listed an unannounced variant of the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML smartphone on its website, which packs 128GB of internal storage.

In addition to the added storage, the new variant also includes the microSD card slot like other Zenfone 2 versions. Rest of the key specifications of the phone include 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 quad-core processor, Android 5.0, 4GB of RAM and 5.5-inch full HD display.

The availability details of the new variant are unclear at this point, but as per the Flipkart listing, the phone will retail at INR 29,999 in the country.

Meanwhile, Asus has started rolling out the first software update for Zenfone 2 smartphone in the country. As per a statement released by the company, the software update is available over-the-air and brings improved memory usage, fix for volume key for camera, and stability improvements.
