Motorola India has quietly reduced the price for the 2^nd Gen Moto X smartphone in the country. The smartphone is now available starting INR 26,999 at the e-retailer Flipkart, which exclusively carries all Motorola products in India. Moto X (2^nd Gen) earlier used to retail beginning INR 29,999.

Given the increased competition in the INR 25-35K price-bracket, it is a wise move from Motorola to correct the price of the Moto X.

Here is a quick look at the new price-tags of various Moto X (2^nd Gen) models in India.

• Moto X (2^nd Gen) (16GB) (plastic back): INR 26,999
• Moto X (2^nd Gen) (16GB) (Leather/ Wood back): INR 28,999
• Moto X (2^nd Gen) (32GB) (plastic back): INR 29,999

This is the second price-reduction for the 2^nd Gen Moto X since it was originally launched in the country in September, 2014.

To remind you, the Moto X (2^nd Gen) features a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, and 2MP front shooter. The phone also packs 16GB of internal storage, Android 4.4.4 and 2300 mAh battery. The company has already released the Android 5.0 update for the phone.
