Micromax is getting ready to introduce a new Android 5.0-powered smartphone in the Indian market. Set to be dubbed as Micromax Canvas Play, the smartphone has been listed on the company website, but key details like pricing and availability remain a mystery.

According to the listing on Micromax India website, the Canvas Play will feature a 5.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor, 2820 mAh battery and 1GB of RAM.

The phone also packs 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 5MP fixed-focus rear camera, 0.3MP front shooter, dual-SIM support and 3G.

Given these basic specifications, we expect the phone to get a price-tag around INR 5,000 in the country.

Meanwhile, the company’s recently launched Canvas Spark smartphone is getting ready for its first flash sale at Snapdeal.com. April 27 is the last day for registrations for the April 29 sale. Canvas Spark also runs on Android 5.0 and comes with specs like 4.7-inch qHD display, quad-core CPU and 8MP rear camera.
