Looks like the folks at Sony Mobile suddenly remembered their 2012 smartphone ‘Xperia P’ and decided to give it a successor.
A new Sony smartphone, dubbed as Sony Xperia P2, has appeared online. If the leaked images of the phone are to be believed, Xperia P2 will be the first high-end phone from the company in over two years to stray from the company’s OmniBalance design.
As you can see in the leaked image above, the Xperia P2 has taken design elements from its predecessor (like the transparent strip) as well as the modern Sony smartphones. The phone also ditches Sony’s favourite wide bezels and the company seems to have kept bezels to a bare-minimum.
In terms of the specifications, the phone will have quite a few similarities to the recently unveiled Xperia Z4 like the 5.2-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage and 5.1MP front shooter, apart from the 12.1MP f2.0 rear shooter with dual-LED flash and a huge 4240 mAh battery.
There is no word on the launch date or pricing at this point, but we hope to hear from the company in the coming weeks.
