The Xperia E4g is a variant of the company Xperia E4 smartphone and was originally unveiled in February this year. Sony’s Xperia E4 is already on sale in the country at INR 12,490.
According to Sony, Xperia E4g features a 4.7-inch qHD display, Android 4.4.4, 2300 mAh battery and 5MP rear camera. The smartphone is powered by 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6732 quad-core processor and packs 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and microSD card slot.
There is a 2MP front shooter as well present in the phone along with dual-SIM card slots and the usual set of connectivity options.
As you can see these are some fairly basic specifications and similar specs are also offered by Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G smartphone, but the Motorola phone retails for just INR 7,999. The Sony phone will also have a hard time competing with the likes of Lenovo A6000, A6000 Plus, and Moto G (2nd Gen) in the country, all of which are priced below the E4g.
Apart from the availability in physical retail stores, there is simply no positive with the Sony phones and it is about time that the company realizes this and starts pricing its smartphones in-line with the market trends.

Sony has to be crazy to price this phone at 12500.. What’s the point of launching it at 12500 and reducing price after one week.
MAY BE TO 10 TO 11K
i think the processor should be 6732, and not 6372.
You are right. Fixed now.
ha…ha…Sony seems to have forgotten to launch the phone last Apr-2014, so
they are now launching it in Apr-2015. They seem to fail to understand that
their hardware and software are a year old.
In Apr-2015, nobody
sells quad-core mediatek processors, that too not at this price. (last
Apr-2014, Micromax launched Nitro for 2GB RAM, octa-core, 4.4 kitkat,
13MP camera at INR 12K)
Apr-2015 configuration should be at least
2GB RAM, octa-core, Lollipop, 8MP Camera. But, Sony is launching 1 GB
RAM, quad-core Mediatek, Kitkat, 5MP camera at 13K in Apr-2015.
Looks like the lazy Lumia bug has now caught Sony….ha…ha…(lumia always sells overpriced hardware claiming to have latest windows)
