Content services in tow as well

China’s video-streaming service LeTV, which recently unveiled three impressive smartphones in its home-market, has stated that it will release these phones in India as well. According to a report in TOI Tech, the LeTV smartphones will reach the Indian shores by 2015-end.

LeTV has also revealed that in addition to the smartphone, it will also bring its content services to the country. Also known as Netflix of China, LeTV offers access to over 100,000 TV series and 5,000 movies in its home-market.

TOI notes that LeTV is currently preparing the international variants of the Le smartphones, which will include Google apps and services as well as access to Google Play. These international variants will be launched in all markets outside China.

To remind you, LeTV’s smartphone portfolio includes LeTV Le 1, LeTV Le 1Pro and LeTV Le Max phones. It is unclear whether the company will keep the same names for the overseas markets as well. You can find the details of these phones in our earlier report.
