In addition to the new P8 smartphone, Huawei has also introduced a phablet variant of phone in the form of P8Max. The new phone will go on sale in the coming weeks in 30 markets including China, Columbia, France, Germany, Mexico, Spain, South Africa, and UK.
According to Huawei, the P8 Max builds on the P8 design and sports an all-metal aluminium unibody with 6.8mm thickness. The smartphone comes with a 6.8-inch full HD display with 326PPI and is powered by octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor. It also packs 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support and microSD card slot.
In addition, Huawei has included Android 5.0 with EM UI 3.1, 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation and 5MP front shooter.
On the battery front, Huawei has packed a mammoth 4360 mAh battery, which the company claims will offer video playback for upto 16 hours.
Pricing
According to Huawei, it will launch two versions of the P8max- standard and premium. The standard version will retail at 549 euros and the premium version at 649 euros. The only difference between standard and the premium version (apart from probably accessories) is the internal storage.
