Chinese smartphone maker Gionee has introduced the new Elife S7 smartphone at the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona. The smartphone joins the company’s portfolio of slim smartphones with its 5.5mm thick chassis.
“We believe ELIFE S7 will bring the future of slim smartphones to the next level. To make ever-slimmer phones, compromising on performance and function is pointless. Manufacturers should offer more features benefiting user experience other than just slimness,” said William Lu, president of Gionee.
Featuring an aluminum magnesium alloy unibody design, the Elife S7 sports a 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3. The company has also included Gorilla Glass on the back of the phone. The smartphone is powered by 64-bit 1.7GHz MediaTek octa-core processor and comes with 13MP rear camera, 8MP front shooter, 4G LTE support and the usual set of connectivity options.
Other specifications of the Gionee Elife S7 include 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support, Android 5.0 with Amigo 3.0 UI and 2750 mAh battery, which supports the company’s new Extreme Mode. The mode activates when the phone reaches 10 percent battery and can last for as many as 33 hours.
Availability
According to Gionee, Elife S7 will be available starting April 2015 in Blue, White and Black colours. The India launch is expected on April 3 for INR 29,999. The phone will retail around 399 euros in Europe.
