OnePlus One to get Android 5.0 Lollipop update in March

Advertisements

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has revealed on Twitter that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for OnePlus smartphone has been delayed and will now be available in late March. This time-frame is valid for both Android 5.0-based CyangenMod 12S update, which will reach global OnePlus One units and Oxygen OS, which will arrive on Indian units. Earlier, the update was supposed to roll-out in February.

The company hasn’t given any specific reason for the delay and has blamed the whole update process for it, which is a poor excuse.

To remind you, OnePlus One users can already experience Android 5.0 on their smartphones by flashing a CM 12S nightly, Oxygen OS alpha version or Paranoid Android ROM. All three are not ready for the prime-time, but will give some respite to the eager-beavers.
