LG launches Android-powered Ice Cream Smart flip phone in Korea this week

After its Wine Smart Android flip phone last year, LG is back with another Android-powered flip smartphone. Set to be unveiled in the South Korean market later this week, the new LG Ice Cream Smart flip phone is an entry-level smartphone and will be available exclusively via telecom operator LG U+ in the country.

According to LG, Ice Cream Smart sports a 3.5-inch HVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor. The phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and features the T9 keypad with dedicated keys for Android navigation, Kakao Talk, camera and select other functions.

Other specifications of the phone include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera and 0.3MP front shooter. LG has also included 1400 mAh battery and 4G LTE support in the Ice Cream Smart.

LG notes that the smartphone will be released in Pink and Mint colour options on January 30, but the final pricing still remains a mystery.
