As expected, XOLO earlier today started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its One smartphone. The update, which is 557MB in size, can be downloaded manually from the XOLO website or be applied via the over-the-air (OTA) roll-out.

OTA roll-out will automatically reach your XOLO One smartphone in the coming days.

As per the official change-log shared by XOLO, you can expect to see the usual Lollipop specific changes like UI improvements, material design changes, Project Volta improvements for battery, security enhancements, improved notifications, guest mode and ART as default runtime as well as improved hardware keyboard accessory support, support for 15 new languages (including Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Tamil and Telugu), and improved audio/ video/ camera capabilities.

This is the first XOLO smartphone to get the Android 5.0, but the company is working on the update for more of its smartphone, which will be released in the coming months.

In related news, XOLO has also revealed that the new units of the One smartphone will now come pre-loaded with Android 5.0.
