Lenovo brings budget tablets for first-time buyers

Lenovo has announced two new budget tablets at ongoing CES trade fair. Targeted to the first-time tablet buyers, the new TAB 2 A7-10 and A7-30 tablet will start shipping in January and March respectively.

According to Lenovo, the new tablets run Android 4.4 and come preloaded with Lenovo’s DOit suite of apps like SHAREit, SECUREit and SYNCit. The tablets sport a 7-inch 1024x600p display and pack 1GB of RAM, 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, microSD card slot, 0.3MP front shooter and 3450 mAh battery.

Among other specifications, Lenovo Tab 2 A7-10 includes 8GB of internal storage and will be released in Black colour, while Tab 2 A7-30 features 8/16GB of internal storage, 2MP rear camera, 3G support (optional) and will come in Blue, Cotton Candy, White and Black colour options.

Pricing

Lenovo has stated that A7-10 will go on sale at $99 and A7-30 will start at $129. For the given price-tags, the tablets certainly look enticing but don’t have anything special to drive the consumers.
