If you hate registering to buy a smartphone or simply have not been able to get Xiaomi’s Redmi 1S in the past flash sales, you are in luck. Xiaomi has announced that it is holding an open sale for the Redmi 1S on December 8 at Flipkart.com.

The smartphone will be available like any other product on the e-retailer and you will be able to simply add it to your cart and checkout. It is unclear how many units of the phone are going to be available, but import data indicate that you can expect around 30-32,000 units of the phone.

The phone will go on sale at 6AM on the day, so make sure you get to Flipkart website or app in time to get it. It is likely to be the last sale for Redmi 1S in the country, and the company will only sell Redmi Note in the country until Mi 4 arrives.

To remind you, Xiaomi Redmi 1s carries a price-tag of INR 5,999. It features dual-SIM support, 4.7-inch HD IPS display, 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM. The phone also packs 2000 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera, 1.6MP front shooter, and Android 4.3-based MIUI v5.

If you are not looking for a phablet, Redmi 1S is actually a quite decent option for a budget Android phone.
