Micromax launches Canvas Xpress for INR 6,999, goes on sale on Dec 8

Indian smartphone vendor Micromax has unveiled a new budget Android smartphone in the country. Part of the company’s Canvas line-up, the new Canvas Xpress A99 has been priced at INR 6,999 and will go on sale beginning December 8 exclusively at Flipkart.com in Blue and Silver colour options.

Powered by 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, the Micromax Canvas Xpress features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, Android 4.4.2, 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera and dual-SIM support. The phone also packs 1950 mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. In addition, Micromax has included 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS on the smartphone.

On the software front, Micromax Canvas Xpress comes with a number of pre-loaded applications like BookMyShow, Clean master, Games club, Hike, Mi games, Mi Insurance, Mi Live, Mi Pick, Mi security, MAD, Opera Mini, Reverie phonebook & SmartPad, True Caller, and Yatra as well as gesture support and HotKnot file transfer function. HotKnot helps the consumers transfer data between devices by simply tapping the devices screen-to-screen or connecting the devices through touch to pair.

The smartphone will be competing with the Android One smartphones, Moto E, Xiaomi Redmi 1S, and Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG in the country.

If the mobile supports 3g network then it seems to be a tough competitor for moto-e, as the specs are quite interesting but I am sure micromax will releases the mobile with out any sorry
