Xiaomi Redmi Note coming to India soon

Advertisements

Xiaomi is all set to release the Redmi Note smartphone in the Indian market. Vice President of the company’s global operations Hugo Barra on Thursday revealed on his Facebook profile that India is the next country to get the Redmi Note smartphone. Although he did not share any specific dates, we expect to see an announcement this month as Barra himself had earlier stated that the company plans to release Note before the end of November in the country and his latest update further confirms the same.

Originally introduced earlier this year, Xiaomi’s Redmi Note smartphone features a 5.5-inch 1280x720p HD display, 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.3 with MIUI v5. Xiaomi has already promised to provide MIUI v6 update for Redmi Note but that will be arriving next year.

Xiaomi had already revealed the price of Redmi Note at the time of Mi 3 release – INR 9,999, but given our experience with Redmi 1S, there could be a last minute reduction in the price. As you can expect, the company will be following its flash sale method for Redmi Note too. So, if you want to purchase the smartphone, get ready for the rush.
