Nokia-owned mapping company HERE on Friday announced the release of a new beta of its maps app for Android. The application is still available as a direct download from the company’s website and will most likely be only available from Play Store after the launch of the stable version.

The updated beta includes support for the recently launched Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, which should make it compatible with Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and the other devices, which will be getting official as well as unofficial 5.0 update in the coming days.

Among other changes, HERE for Android beta fixes the issue with navigation voices being wiped by the cache cleaners and packs several stability improvements.

HERE provides comprehensive maps for countries around the world and is known for the offline navigation support, which is still not provided by Google Maps.
